Analog Channels Display:
The Cable operator in your area is sending a
mix of both analog and digital channels. Most of the analog channels already
converted to unencrypted standard digital (SD) format that can be displayed by
the DCT210. Many programs are available simultaneously in analog and digital format as part of the basic Cable service.
The DCT210 is a digital TV tuner and will display only
Standard Digital (SD) or High Definition (HD) Digital channels. To view
the old analog channels (that is the lower band, old channels 1-99) an ANALOG tuner is required.
If your TV has an analog tuner you may use the pass-trough property of the DCT210 to send the Cable analog basic program signal to your TV analog tuner. By using the TV remote controller you may switch between digital and analog channels.
If your TV or projector does not have an analog tuner and you still want to see the basic program analog channels you have to use an external analog tuner such as the CATV5 or the HRT600.
